English-Language Learners
English-language learners, or ELLs, are students who are unable to communicate fluently or learn effectively in English, who often come from non-English-speaking homes and backgrounds, and who typically require specialized or modified instruction in both the English language and in their academic courses.

Speech
Audiologists and speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat people who have communication disorders. Audiologists are concerned with the identification, measurement, and study of hearing and hearing impairments and with the treatment of persons with hearing disorders.

Arcola School District is also in collaboration with Eastern Illinois Area of Special Education (E.I.A.S.E.) to provide many other services to meet the needs of our students. Such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, hearing and vision services and much more.
